Diana Yi-Yi Chen is a filmmaker, video editor, photographer, and emerging multidisciplinary artist. She was raised in Taiwan and is residing in Berkeley, California. Having received her BA degree in cinema from San Francisco State University, her passions involve photography and experimental films, which inspires her to explore arts with different mediums. She often draws inspiration from found objects and nature. Many of her editorial works convey Asian American stories, including APICC’s Legacy & Lineage video series (2020), short narrative film Stain Resistant (2022), and AAWAA’s Pass It On series (2023). She seeks her works to increase the visibility of underrepresented communities, and explore the theme of gender expectations of women.
